Gin In All It’s Glory

From my bartending experience, one of the most popular drinks across generations is a gin paired with tonic or lemonade. Raspberry gin is a sweet and popular choice, but many opt for the safety of a dry gin. From my bar cart, I have created a few affordable options that you can serve your guests, partners, or for you to enjoy after a long day.
French Apple
Pinkies in the air for this refreshingly sophisticated drink. Elderflower is the perfect floral friend for gin, adding the fresh lime elevates this flavour further. When pressed apple juice joins the party, a sweet yet slightly tangy splash will dissolve in your mouth. Trust me, you’ll want more than one…

In your shaker, add:
50ml London dry gin,
75 pressed apple juice,
12.5 elderflower syrup,
12.5 fresh lime juice
Cubed ice
Shake, shake, shake!
Double strain and chuck on a lime for garnish.
Serve in a lovely martini glass
Sparkling French Apple
This is the Apple’s mature, yet naughty cousin. Elevating this refreshing drink with fizz will make you the most exciting host.
Just pour 50ml of pressed apple juice instead of 75ml and continue as usual. Swap the martini glass for a gin glass then top with Prosecco! Slightly more strong, a lot more boujee!
Rhubarb Spritz
This is a fabulously sweet drink, perfect to serve at bbqs. This is a favourite among friends but don’t be fooled by the berry flavours- this is a boozy option! This can be served with rhubarb OR raspberry gin but I highly recommend the rhubarb for a more unique taste.

In a Gin glass or a wine glass:
Fill glass with ice
Pour in 50ml of rhubarb gin
Generously add 25ml raspberry syrup
Pour in 100ml of Prosecco (or up to 3/4)
Top up with lemonade
Stir lightly for 5 seconds so it has a blush appearance
Make this drink even more pink! Just swap the average lemonade with pink lemonade!
Lazy Abs
G and T is boring- here’s a delicious twist!
I stumbled across this creation when I had no mixer other than Pepsi max and I was not leaving the house again that night. I poured some gin in a coupe glass because I wanted to feel slightly elegant, added Pepsi and lime and my new favourite drink was birthed! You can order this at a bar, although the bartender may give you a funny look. Don’t fear- they’ll soon catch on to this new delectable beverage!

In any glass of your choice, add:
As much ice as you desire
A generous pour of dry gin (50ml is perfect but a little more won’t hurt)
Pepsi max up to the top
A large chunk of lime (squeeze a little for extra juiciness)
No stirring required, but if you must, swirl your glass around like you’re a fancy lady at a wine tasting evening. If you spill, don’t worry, clean it up with your oversized t shirt or the sleeve of your dressing gown.
What about the price?
